Heal it right.
A great tattoo is half artist, half aftercare. Here’s what to expect after you leave the chair, and how to keep your new ink looking its best.
From the chair to fully healed.
You leave with a plan
Your artist goes over aftercare with you in person and sends you home with an aftercare packet: written instructions plus a sample of our handmade, vegan tattoo balm. Follow the instructions in your packet; they’re your step-by-step guide.
While it heals
Your tattoo takes about three weeks to heal. During that time:
Skip the sun
Keep it out of direct sunlight and tanning beds.
Don’t soak it
No swimming, hot tubs or chlorine. Showers are fine.
Ease up
Take a couple of days off from extreme workouts.
Your free touch-up window
If an area didn’t heal properly or something in the design needs attention, you get one free touch-up within six months. Adding new elements or color isn’t a touch-up. Please show up for your touch-up appointment or cancel ahead; a no-show costs the $75 minimum.
Keep it bright
Our Tattoo Aftercare & Maintenance Balm isn’t just for healing. Use it on healed tattoos to keep them shining.
In every aftercare packet
